Vegan Italian Dressing Recipe
If you don’t want to buy Italian dressing from the store anymore, you can easily make yourself an oil-free, soy-free, and dairy-free batch at home. Here is a simple recipe you can follow to make a nice creamy Italian dressing you can use for your salads
What You’ll Need:
- 3/4 cup (112 grams) raw, unsalted cashews
- 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons water
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon maple syrup or agave
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon dry yellow mustard powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tbsp dried Italian seasoning blend without salt or red pepper
- scant 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
What To Do:
- Soak cashews in water for 12 hours
- After 12 hours of soaking, use a blender or a food processor to blend your cashews until nice and smooth
- Add the rest of the ingredients to your blender or food processor
- Add ¼ teaspoon of Italian seasoning
- Once thoroughly mixed, place in the fridge for an hour to chill
- Use wine or lemon to add more tart
- Add water to thin the consistency when it gets too thick
